ICE's iconic high-speed trains will celebrated 30 years of service in 2021. They first set off on a regular passenger service on 2nd June 1991 to connect the North German port city of Hamburg with the Bavarian capital Munich. In 30 years of operation, the network has not only expanded throughout Germany, but the trains also visit France, Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria.
